Classes that nurture Bilingualism

Classes at David's Academy are designed to foster bilingualism in students from a young age. We offer classes from Daycare through Year 3 and CE1, with options available in both French and English at each level. Our Daycare class are fully bilingual, providing a nurturing environment for children to learn both languages simultaneously. From age 3-4, students are assigned to either a French or English class but participate in a languages swap once a week to gain exposure to the other languages. Starting from age 5, students receive dedicated second languages lessons, enabling them to develop proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both French and English. This comprehensive approach ensures that our students become confident and fluent bilingual communicators.

Oxford International Curriculum and Early Years Curriculum

The Oxford International Curriculum (OIC) is a comprehensive, internationally recognized curriculum designed to prepare students for success in higher education and beyond. In the early years, the OIC focuses on developing essential skills such as communication, literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning. Through play-based activities and inquiry-based learning, young learners are encouraged to explore the world around them and develop a love of learning. The OIC's early years curriculum provides a strong foundation for future academic success and helps children develop a positive attitude toward learning.
